Resumen

Mi investigación se centra en comprender la genética que sustenta la regulación metabólica con respecto a la interacción fuente-sumidero. Mi trabajo busca profundizar en (i) procesos subyacentes regulatorios de la calidad de la fruta y (ii) los mecanismos de tolerancia al estrés para generar nuevas estrategias biotecnológicas para aplicar en futuros programas de mejora. Actualmente me encuentro trabajando con una amplia gama de enfoques de "biología de sistemas", que incluyen tecnologías ómicas de alto rendimiento (desde la Genómica hasta la Metabolómica y Fentómica), uso de herramientas bioinformáticas y modelos matemáticos para desarrollar, probar y aplicar modelos de restricciones novedosos que predigan la capacidad de la redes metabólicas de los diferentes tejidos vegetales.
